Merewether Surf Life Saving Club has been awarded Rescue of the Month by Surf Life Saving NSW, following a dramatic rescue of two people last month.
On November 13, two swimmers were brought back to shore in rough seas, a rescue that saw four lifesavers contend with messy and dangerous surf conditions, one dislocating a finger.
