An independent report, which recommends a rock revetment wall be built at Old Bar beach, will go before Taree Council tomorrow night.
Councillors will decide if the structure should be included in the area’s Draft Coastal Zone Management Plan, as an option to protect homes from erosion.
If given the go-ahead, further community consultation will be undertaken to look at all options, which include planned retreat and an offshore reef.
