Fire crews are set to begin backburning on a blaze that’s been raging in Bingara since Friday afternoon.
At its height, the fire on Lewis Road had 13 crews from the RFS and national parks, working on it after flames moved into dense woodland.
More than 400 hectares have been burnt so far, but no properties have been threatened.
