Qantas has been forced to take over plane routes between Brisbane and Tamworth, and Moree and Sydney after four Brindabella aircraft were grounded for maintenance.
Government officials were made aware of the situation last week, resulting in Qantas providing a dozen planes to alleviate the problem.
It’s another blow for Brindabella, with the airline under fire for regular delays on regional flights.
