A man armed with a shotgun held up staff at Woolgoolga’s Seaview Tavern last night.
Police say the offender confronted two members of staff outside the hotel just after they had locked up for the night around 10.30.
The man ordered the employees to reopen the hotel and forced them back inside.
Police say the man stole the days takings and fled on foot.
He was wearing dark clothes and a balaclava.
