Two years ago the Spring Creek National was the sight of Chad Reed’s most spectacular crash, on a hill now affectionately known as the ‘Chad-apult’.
Overnight, the boy from Kurri Kurri made a much happier return to the track.
The former world champion finished 10th in race one, then backed up to grab seventh in moto two.
It’s Reed’s best result this season, as he continues to be hampered by a knee injury.
