The weird and wonderful went under the microscope at Newcastle Museum today, with people bringing in their antiques to find out how much they’re worth.
Among the items to catch valuer Alex Renwick’s eye, a bronze helmet.
Several possessions of William Kidd, a Lord Mayor of Newcastle in the late 19th century, also proved impressive.
