An elderly man is in a critical condition in Coffs Harbour Hospital after being hit by a car on the Pacific Highway to the city’s south.
The 70-year-old pedestrian was trying to cross four lanes of the highway when he was struck by a car.
Locals say the man often catches a bus on the opposite side of the road to the caravan park where he’s been living.
He suffered severe head injuries.
