A 23-year-old man has been charged with a number of offences following the hold up of a petrol station in Long Jetty last night.
Police were called to Westside Petroleum on the Entrance Road at around 9.30, where they found a man fleeing the scene in a car.
The vehicle was pursued and stopped a short time later on Wyong Road in Berkeley Vale.
In addition to last night’s incident, the man has been charged with two counts of armed robbery at the Video Ezy store at Tumbi Umbi earlier this month.
The man has been refused bail and will appear in Wyong Local court on Monday.
