The Red Cross Blood Service is urging the people of the Manning Valley to roll-up their sleeves, with supplies at the Taree donor centre dangerously low.
The centre is 84 appointments short of what it needs in the next two weeks to keep up with demand.
In particular, A and O blood-types are needed, but the centre is welcoming all donations.
Just one hour is all it takes, with every donation potentially helping to save three lives.
