Kate Parsons is a journalist at NBN News in Port Macquarie. She started her career in community radio at 4ZZZ in Brisbane before reporting for Nine News Queensland's afternoon bulletin, and Nine Gold Coast News. She studied at the University of Queensland, graduating with a double Bachelors degree in Journalism/Arts - majoring in Sociology and Peace and Conflict Studies.
