Young student settles in at Australia’s first mainstream Deafblind class

As students settle into term two, a small Hunter school is celebrating the early success of a new program that’s breaking down barriers for pupils with disabilities.

The Deafblind class at Tenambit Public is the first of its kind in a mainstream environment – and five-year-old Ari Bennett is its first student.
