Diesel prices cost Maitland Council an extra $100-thousand-dollars a month

Maitland is the latest council to be hit by a massive budget blowout, as record-high diesel prices threaten to cost the city an extra $100-thousand-dollars a month.

After voting against a plan to pivot its fleet to electric vehicles, the council is now looking to the state government for help.
