Family issues desperate plea for 28 year old diagnosed with rare cancer

The family of a former Maitland woman has issued a desperate plea for help, as it looks to get medical treatment for her – potentially overseas.
Janine Aqil has been diagnosed with a rare, aggressive stage four ‘Gene Fusion’ cancer.
She’s undergone chemo and immunotherapies, but oncologists say surgery is not an option.
Her mother, who lives near Gloucester, has set up a Go Fund Me page to help Janine.

The 28-year-old is hoping to travel to The Mayo Clinic in the United States for treatment.
