BASKETBALL LEGEND BOUNCES INTO TAREE

It’s the training ground for the next big thing in basketball, with eager players from as far as Byron Bay given a rare opportunity in Taree today to get tips from hall of fame player Cal Burton.

Skills and drills, along with fundamentals of the game, put these young hopefuls through their paces.

Burton welcoming the opportunity to help develop the sport in rural areas.

“The game has been very good to me it bought me from New York City here to Taree and I feel it is now my duty to give back to these young kids and say hey you can go from Taree to New York City,” Burton said.

The basketball star says he’s confident some could go all the way.

The clinic wraps up on Friday.
