Newcastle Council has met with a 17 CEOs and city leaders in a video chat, to put together a financial recovery plan after the COVID-19 crisis.
They’re looking at a number of major sectors including health, sport and education.
Council will put half-a-million-dollars towards the project – funding which businesses and organisations can apply for.
The group will meet fortnightly.
