TAMWORTH COUNCIL SUPPORTS POSTAGE STAMP PRICING

Tamworth Regional Council is urging the Australia Competition and Consumer Commission to reconsider its opposition to standard water prices across the state.
Currently, Peel Valley users are paying the highest rate for water in the state.
At $52-per megalitre, it’s seven times higher than the average cost in New South Wales.
As part of a long-running fight for reduced rates, council is set to make a submission to the ACCC, seeking answers as to why it’s against ‘postage stamp’ prices.
