The state government is urging regional towns to take up the fight against obesity and apply for the Healthy Town Challenge, which is a joint initiative with the Heart Foundation.
Towns with populations between 1,000 and 15,000 can win up to $5,000, to go towards sporting equipment, training or cooking classes.
Entries close September 12.
