Dolphin Marine Magic has welcomed a Coffs Harbour City Council ban on late night alcohol consumption in a nearby park.
The tourist attraction complained to council about noise, broken glass and litter from nightly parties in the Lower Coffs Creek Reserve.
Dolphin Magic CEO Paige Sinclair said, “they cause damage by knocking down garbage bins, breaking glass, trying to get into the park and we have a duty of care to our animals of course.”
Police also recommended the booze ban.
They will now be able to confiscate alcohol from people in the park from 9pm to 9am.
