School zones across the Northern Tablelands are now more noticeable to drivers with flashing lights installed at all 93 schools.
It’s part of a state government program, which began rolling out last year.
“I think we’ve all been in the situation where we’ve just been driving along listening to the radio or thinking about something else on the way to work and we’ve driven into a school zone and not even realised that we were, these flashing lights you can’t miss them.
The region is one of the first rural electorates in the state to have the lights installed at every school.
