Former Newcastle Hunters junior Ben Simmons, has produced his second highest scoring effort for LSU, helping his college side to an eight point win over Vanderbilt.
Simmons lead all scorers on the night with 36 points and also grabbed 14 rebounds.
The win helps the Tigers to a record of 8 and 5 and keeps them in the hunt for the playoffs.
