TROPICAL FRUITS REVELLERS “SHINE” IN LISMORE CBD

Meanwhile in Lismore, hundreds of “tropical fruit revellers” strutted their stuff through the CBD yesterday, signalling the start of celebrations for their New Year’s Eve event, ‘Shine.’
Each year, festival-goers wear heels, makeup and sequinned costumes to take part in the street party.
And in 2018, there was one more reason to celebrate – Lismore’s first same-sex marriage was performed earlier this year.
The party will finish up at the Lismore Showground on January 2.
