It’s crunch time for Kyogle Council to decide where it will go next with its fit for the future scheme.
After being dubbed financially unsustainable, the council was given a number of choices – one being amalgamation.
Despite talks of a merger, Lismore and Richmond Valley have both indicated they have no interest in an official amalgamation.
All three councils have committed to increase collaboration but at this stage it remains unknown to what extent.
Following further discussions, Kyogle council will tonight decide where to go from here.
