Police have issued a warning to parents and children after a boy was approached by two men near Lake Macquarie.
On Friday afternoon a 12-year-old boy got off a bus in Tingira Heights when two men driving a dark coloured sedan stopped across the road from the boy, yelling at him to get in the car.
The boy, and some other children nearby, ran away.
It’s prompted a call from police for parents and children to be vigilant especially over the school holidays, warning children and young people not to walk on their own and remain in visible areas.
