700 PEOPLE TO RELAY FOR CANCER

More than 700 people will take part in this year’s Great Lakes Relay for Life to support those touched by cancer.

Teams of 10 to 15 people will take to the track at the North Tuncurry Sporting Complex tomorrow morning, helping to raise funds for Cancer Council Australia.

The community event has attracted a whirlwind of support, with $57,000 raised so far, but organisers are hoping to make that $75,000 by Sunday.

All funds will go towards cancer services, research and advocacy campaigns.

Anyone who wishes to participate can go online or simply register on the day.
