A blockbuster grand final rematch between the Swans and Saints will open the next AFL North West season.

The 2026 draw has been released, but the door is still open for a defunct club to return to the men’s competition.

Born and bred in the Manning Valley, Rob Douglas joined the Taree bureau in June 2021 after a short career in print media. He joined the Tamworth team in July 2023. Rob graduated from Charles Sturt University in Bathurst in 2016 with a sports journalism degree.
