A 23- year- old parolee has been arrested and charged following an alleged armed altercation in Ballina.
Richmond Police attended a residential address yesterday morning, responding to reports of a man threatening the occupant with an iron bar.
The suspect fled on foot but was later captured hiding in a garden in a nearby street.
The 23 year old was refused bail due to his parole violation.
He will reappear in Ballina Court later this month.
