Two drivers were lucky to escape injury this morning when their trucks crashed and blocked the Oxley Highway at Bective, about 30-kilometres from Tamworth.
Just after nine o’clock, a semi-trailer transporting livestock was travelling towards Gunnedah when another truck ran into the back of it, forcing it into a tree.
Fire crews, ambulance and police were called to the scene, which closed the road for two hours.
No livestock was injured.
