The Armidale Rams will officially compete in rugby league’s Group 4 competition next season after Group 19’s clubs voted to release them yesterday.
With decreased travel to matches, Armidale expects the move will attract local juniors back to the sport.
It’s hoped a change in scenery will also revitalise the team, after the first grade side finished two wins out of the finals in 2015.
