Thanks to heavy rain over the last week, water restrictions will ease in Tamworth this weekend.
Chaffey Dam has reached 41.8 per cent capacity, the highest it’s been since April last year.
More than 70 millimetres fell at the head of the Peel River, allowing for level two water restrictions to be put in place.
As of Saturday, residents can use hand held hoses for two hours a day.
