Port Macquarie-Hastings Council has received $30,000 from the state government to repair its historic court house.
The money will be matched on a dollar-for-dollar basis by the council to replace the wooden shingle roof of the courthouse which was built in 1869.
The restoration work is part of a $7.5-million heritage grants program aimed at restoring more than 300 historical sites around the state over the next two years.
