A grim find at Nelson Bay this morning, with police retrieving the body of a woman from the water off Little Beach.
Officers are seeking public help to identify her, and the cause of death is yet to be determined.
She’s described as caucasian, in her late 30s or early 40s, with a slim build and short blonde hair.
She also had piercings and distinctive tattoos, and was wearing a blue crochet top and green denim shorts.
Anyone with information about the woman’s identity or any information that may assist investigators is urged to come forward.
