DIRT MOVING ON INVERELL’S NEW HOSPITAL

Construction has begun on the $60-million redevelopment of Inverell Hospital.
The first stage of work got underway today, with up to 500 jobs to be created during the build.
An expanded emergency department, 38-bed inpatient unit and a new operating theatre, included in the project.
“Stage one of construction should take around 12 to 14 months and then we’ll proceed to stage two, with design work and tenders going out for that $30-million project later this year,” Northern Tablelands MP, Adam Marshall.
