ANZ bank customers in Tamworth will be without a branch for two-months, with the Peel Street office set to close on Friday.
Over the next eight weeks, it will be upgraded to a new ‘digital’ branch – with free wifi and tablet devices on offer.
It means the closest branches will now be Gunnedah and Armidale, but customers can still access services online or at the Tamworth post office.
Employees will also be re-located during the upgrade.
The branch reopens on September 12.
