A Suffolk Park woman has died after her car hit a power pole in Byron Bay early this morning.Flowers have been placed where the accident happened.The 56-year-old was heading north on Bangalow Road around 1am when her car crossed to the wrong side of the road, mounted the kerb and crashed into the pole.
The force of the impact dislodged the pole, bringing down power lines and causing a blackout.
The woman later died in Byron Bay Hospital.
