More than 22,000 Tamworth homes will soon be connected to the National Broadband Network, with construction set to start in February.
Work has been pushed back by a month to avoid disruption during next month’s Country Music Festival.
“Whilst we have waited a little while for it, we’ve got a system which is affordable for business now and will deliver the benefits,” said Tamworth Mayor Col Murray.
It’s expected to be up and running by December next year.
