A motorbike rider has been found with a knife and an amount of the drug ‘ice’ on him after he was pulled over in Broadmeadow for riding without a helmet.
About 4pm yesterday, police allegedly spotted the 23-year-old man riding along Chatham Road without a helmet on.
Besides the knife and ‘ice’, police also found unlawfully obtained cash, debit cards and a passport on the man.
He’ll be facing Newcastle court in a fortnight on a number of charges including supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug, custody of knife and deal with proceeds of crime.
