The State Government has formally moved to put further restrictions on coal seam gas mining in country New South Wales.
Law changes to exclude exploration from within two kilometres of residential zones are now on public exhibition, and open to feedback.
The move comes after mining giant Metgasco suspended its operations in the Clarence Valley, claiming there is too much policy confusion over CSG mining.
