Federal Member for the New England Tony Windsor has welcomed the Prime Minister’s call for a royal commission into institutional responses to allegations of child sexual abuse.
Yesterday, Mr Windsor spoke with the Prime Minister’s office encouraging her to act.
“There’s been a number of issues, across Australia, New England has it’s own issues as well, but I think it will be a good thing for all concerned.”
He believes the move will be welcomed by the New England community, particularly victims of child sexual abuse.
