A GREEN TREE POLICY LAUNCHED ON NATIONAL TREE DAY

The Newcastle Greens say they want to make sure the Laman Street fig debacle, doesn’t happen again.
Today Newcastle mayoral candidate John Sutton – launched the Greens new tree policy, in the hope it will be adopted following September elections.
The launch coincided with national tree day.
At King Edward Park, Novocastrians played their part – planting native trees.

Thanks to all the people across Newcastle who had the time to plant trees. We have some fabulous trees in Newcastle and the council says it isplanting 30,000. Let’s make sure the 18 removed from Laman St are returned. Less than forty 40 ! days to the council elections. Fingers crossed for acouncil who has a heart and listens. 13,000 people signed the Laman St petition, Speaking for the Trees.
