YOUNG MAN SENTENCED AFTER GIFT SHOP BREAK AND ENTER

A 19-year-old Taree man has been sentenced to a minimum of four months in prison, after breaking into a gift store in Taree early Tuesday morning.

Police say the teenager entered the Manning Street shop through a back roller door at around 10am.

Security vision shows him avoid the till completely, leaving with a few inexpensive items.

Police have described the man as a ‘repeat offender.’
