A document, which guides the recreational use and management of Trinity Point Reserve at Lake Macquarie, will go on public exhibition later this week.
The draft plan, which was adopted by the council last night, covers almost four hectares of public space at Morisset Park.
Adjoining the site is land that has been approved for a $388-million waterfront development.
The community can have its say on the plan from Saturday.
