Host team Newcastle was unable to stop Sydney from claiming the Australian Samoan Rugby title at Charlestown today.
The championship doubles as a selection event for both Opens and Under 20s Australian Samoa sides, and also as an important gathering.
With teams from Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and the Hunter, it’s designed as another key pathway for Samoan players to reach elite levels both here and internationally.
