Hundreds of feet pounded the pavement over the weekend for the first annual Heart Kids fundraiser at Broadwater Parklands.
Tamara Love led the walk with her three year old daughter Chloe, who was born with only half a functioning heart.
Supported by the Heart Kids charity, Chloe underwent two surgeries before her first birthday.
“They come around and visit the families and provide meals and support and morning teas.”
“And they also raise money for research into projects, basically helping to find a cure for children’s heart disease.”
Balloon-toting volunteers helped raise 3-thousand dollars.
