TAMWORTH’S RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE TURNS SIX

Tamworth’s Ronald McDonald House today celebrated its sixth birthday.
The home away from home for children being treated at Tamworth Hospital provides 24/7 care for families.
To keep up with the demand, it’s hoped $40,000 will be raised over the next few months to extend the building and add a fifth bedroom.
“Six years ago I don’t think anyone could have envisaged what Ronald McDonald House would mean to the community and now it’s made a difference to so many families from our region, in fact over 9,000 people have stayed here in the last six years, so for those families this place has been a life saving place for them.”
The service is currently on the lookout for 30 volunteers.
