Hunter Metro has dashed Illawarra’s hopes of a three-peat in the Northern New South Wales AFL Junior Championships in Coffs Harbour.

After 84 matches across three days, the Hunter side has taken home the Simon Smyth Cup, North Coast Force, finished third – with the group’s oldest boys creating history.
