WESTON PRODUCES THE MAGIC IN FIRST LEG WITH BROADMEADOW

NBN STATE LEAGUE
Semi Final – 1st Leg

WESTON 2
BROADMEADOW 1

Weston has taken a surprise lead in its NBN state league semi final series against minor premiers Broadmeadow, beating the Magic 2-1.
The home side went up a goal early thanks to a Rob MacBeth header.
The Bears went agonisingly close to a second minutes later, but Magic keeper Scott Carter made a desperate save.
Striker Peter Haynes tried to provide some Magic of his own…
Shortly after, a soft penalty gave him a shot from the spot, and he made no mistake.
But in the end, Weston celebrated a significant upset.
