The State Government has announced $15,000 to support volunteers in Port Macquarie.
The grant will help expand the Timebanking program, which promotes the exchange of free services between individuals and organisations.
“You know, volunteers who give so much of their time to help the community can at the same time have a volunteer to assist them in those areas they’re unable to look after, so I wanted to ensure that the Timebanking program continues to grow,” Minister Responsible for Volunteering John Ajaka said.
The program is coordinated by the Port Macquarie Neighbourhood Centre.
