A woman has died after she was hit by a car in Lismore this afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to Molesworth Street around 3:20pm, where a woman in her 70s was being helped by bystanders and off-duty medical staff.
She was taken to Lismore Base Hospital in a serious condition, with possible fractures and internal injuries, however she couldn’t be saved.
The driver of the car was also taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene was set up by police, who are still piecing together what happened.
