PADDY RYAN RETURNS TO SEE FORMER SCHOOL TAKE OUT CHAMPIONSHIP

New South Wales Waratah’s front rower Paddy Ryan returned to Tamworth, to see his former primary school St Nick’s of Tamworth take out the North West Schools under 12s rugby union title.

A large crowd of students turned out to see the grand final of the Friday evening schools competition.

The tournament also a good chance for school children to try rugby.

“There’s only so many people in Australia and we’ve got so many sporting codes, it’s a really volatile sort’ve sporting environment in that there’s so many people competing for the talent. So yeah, if we could pinch a few, that’d be great.”

St Nick’s started strong, going on to post a 31 points to seven victory.
